If tool works Click the Setup/help tab , then click About. The tool should display information including Serial number and register password.
 Be aware ,I think the older software versions with factory logos before 2015 may  possess more OE functionality than newer version , so if it working  ok as is with old software versions with logos , I would turn off it's  WIFI connection and never ever go on internet or try to connect  to their server again with it .Look to get a newer platform for newer coverage , rather than compromising some OE level functionality of the coverage for older vehicles if you update for the newer car coverage.
